Reorganizing Change Pointers

Use

You use this report to reorganize the change pointers for loans. The change pointers are physically deleted from the database.

Caution Caution

Note that you should reorganize the change pointers on a regular basis as often as possible because the system writes a change pointer for every change made to a loan, and so the number of change pointers increases rapidly.

Features

Selection

You can limit your selection according to the following criteria in the Selection Change Pointers group box:

  • Created On

    The creation date enables you to select the change pointers from a certain time period.

  • Status ALE Processing

    You can identify the processed change pointers and those not relevant for the ALE export by means of the status.

  • ALE Processing Group

    If you have defined your own ALE processing groups in the IMG activity Define ALE Processing Groups the system supplies the ALE Processing Group as an additional selection criterion that you must enter here.

You can schedule the report as a periodic job in background processing.

Output

The result is shown as a log, implemented using the Application Log (BC-SRV-BAL) .

Activities

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Environment Next navigation step Change Pointers and ALE Export Next navigation step Reorganize Change Pointers End of the navigation path .

  2. In the Reorganize Change Pointers for Loans screen, enter your selection parameters and choose Execute. The system displays the log, which you can also print out.
