Deferral: Basic Data

Use

On this tab page you can enter or change the important data for the deferral, such as the key date, the deferral reason and the deferral interest, and you can have the system display the capital amounts of the deferral arrangement.

For more information, see Deferral

Procedure

  1. In the Deferral Data section you enter the basic data for the deferral.

The key date for the deferral arrangement is the day on which the deferral arrangement starts. The system calculates the deferral interest on the deferral amount from this date onwards. The system sets the payment date of the most recent overdue item as the key date by default, or, if this is in the past, it sets the current date.

By changing the Payments to date you can change the selection of items that form part of the deferral arrangement. Today’s date is set as default for the date. The system selects all items in the item list with a payment date up to and including this date and transfers these into the deferral arrangement. The system displays all of the overdue items in the item overview, irrespective of the Payment to date.

The processing charge is predefined in the underlying product. You can change this within the areas defined in the product. If you set the Included in Loan indicator, the charge is included in the subtotal of the receivables included in loan ( Recs Incl. in Loan ) in the Deferral Overview section and the deferral amount is therefore increased. The charge is no longer visible on the Other Flows tab page and so cannot be changed.

The system enters the predefined value for deferral interest from the underlying product. You can change this within the areas defined in the product.

The First Installment date specifies the due date for the first deferral installment. The system automatically adjusts this to the key date, if necessary. The system proposes the payment frequency from the loan as the payment frequency for the deferral arrangement.

The number of deferral installments defined in the product is entered in the Number of Payment Installments field. You can change this within the areas defined in the product.

  2. In the Deferral Overview section you see the current amounts for the deferral arrangement.

The Overdue Items amount is the total of all selected overdue items in the item overview.

The Future Payments Due amount is the total of all selected planned records in the item overview that have a due date before or on the Payment to date.

The Receivables Included in Loan amount contains the processing charge if you have set the Included in Loan indicator.

The Deferral Amount is the total of the overdue items, future payments and receivables included in the loan.

The Credit Balance amount shows you the credit balance (overpayments) of the loan.

The receivables not included in loan amount ( Recs N/Inc. in Loan )contains the processing charge, if you have not set the Included in Loan indicator.

The Non-Selected Items amount is the total of all of the items not selected in the item overview.

The Effective Interest field specifies the calculated effective interest rate from the deferral arrangement.

  3. In the Deferral Plan section you see the due dates and payment dates of the deferral clearing installments broken down according to interest and repayment.

If the Open Processing field is visible you can set the indicator. The fields in the columns Due Date and Repayment are ready for input. If you process the deferral plan, you cannot enter any deferral interest, and the system does not calculate any deferral interest.

If only one repayment amount field is empty, the system calculates the appropriate repayment as input help so that the total of all repayments corresponds to the deferral amount.

  4. In the Payment Arrangements section, you enter the payment arrangements such as deferral partner (with the default value as the loan partner), bank details ID, and payment method for the deferral installments and the deferral charge.

  5. In the Expert Mode On/Off ( Environment->Expert Mode On/Off ), you set the Inclusive indicator for the default and non-editable key date, month-end indicator for key date, interest calculation method (ICM), inclusive indicator, month-end indicator for the first Installment, bank working day, and holiday calendar.

  6. In the Expert Mode On/Off ( Environment->Expert Mode On/Off ), the value for the effective interest method is taken as the default value set in the IMG activity Define Basic Settings .

    Note Note

In the case of mortgage and general loans, you can edit the effective interest method (EIM). However, the EIM is a display-only field in the case of consumer loans.

    End of the note.
