The Dynamic Planning Menu

Definition

Dynamic menu you use when you want to determine the demand for a course, and when you want to actually plan courses .

This is the only place these functions are available in Training Management .

Use

You can use the dynamic planning menu to plan multiple courses at the same time using the course type as a reference or template for each individual course.

The number of courses you plan is based on the demand that exists for the course. This demand is determined either automatically by the system or manually by the user.

As with the other dynamic menus, the planning menu displays the complete structure of course groups, course types and courses. You can plan and maintain objects directly in the structure. The advantage of this is that you can directly refer to the existing course catalog when planning courses.

In addition, you can avail of functions that automatically determine course demand. Demand can be based on one or any combination of the following reports:

  • Prebookings for the course type

  • Bookings made the previous year

  • Demand statistics from the previous year.

  • Courses flagged as mandatory

  • Development plans
