Creating a Course (Without Resources) On the
SAP Easy Access
screen, in the
SAP Menu
choose
. The
Create Course Without Resources
initial screen appears.
Enter the
course type
for which you want to create a course.
Note
If you call the function from the dynamic course menu, the relevant data is read simply by positioning the cursor on the course type. The course type is already selected on the initial screen.
In the
Start date
field ,
enter the start date. The default date proposed by the system is the current date. You can change the start date on the data screen if required.
Choose
data screen.
The
Create Course Without Resources
data screen appears.
Select either
Internal
or
External
to specify what kind of course you want to create.
Select either
Planned
or Firmly bkd.
Enter a course location.
Enter a language.
Assign a schedule to the course. To do so, choose either
Copy
to transfer the schedule defined for the course type or
Create
to define your own schedule.

Note
If the course type does not have a schedule, a popup appears where you can create your own schedule.
If one or more schedules have been defined for the course type, a popup appears displaying the existing schedules for selection.
Once you have copied or created a schedule, you can check or change it by choosing
Display
or
Change
under
Schedule.
Enter all other data you require for your course on the data screen. That is, data that you do not want to transfer from the course type or that was not maintained for the course type.
The tutor plays a supporting role in the course. The tutor can be one of the following objects:
Person
Contact person
User
External person
You can assign one or more tutors to a course type to make them available as potential tutors for courses. You can assign one of the potential tutors or a different tutor to a course. A tutor can be assigned to a course of any delivery method . A course that has delivery method WBT inherits all the potential tutors that are assigned to the course type to which it belongs.

Choose

You have created the course.
Note
Alternatively, you can create a new course by copying from an existing course. In this case, you enter no course type and choose
. Enter the course you want to use as a reference in the field under
Copy from.
Choose
Data screen.
The data of the reference course is displayed on the data screen. You can overwrite it as required. Note that the
Copy
function only lets you create courses
without
the resource reservation function.
