Determining Demand

Prerequisites

At least one of the following options is available for a course type:

  • Prebookings (in the period you specified)
  • Bookings from the previous year
  • Demand in the previous year
  • Course types flagged as mandatory
  • Development plans

Procedure

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, in the SAP Menu choose Start of the navigation path Human Resources Next navigation step SAP Learning Solution Next navigation step Courses Next navigation step Dates Next navigation step Planning Menu End of the navigation path .

  2. Select the course type for which you want to determine demand.

  3. Choose Create demand . The Create Demand: Options dialog box appears querying how you want demand to be determined:

    • Prebookings made for the course type in a time period specified by you. (If you specify no specific time period, the system automatically takes the planning year.)

    • Bookings from the previous year

    • Previous year's demand

    • Mandatory course types

    • Development plans

  4. Select the required method or combination of methods.

  5. If you need to, enter a percentage plus or minus by which the demand figures can be modified.

  6. Choose .

Result:

The demand for the course is displayed in the planning menu.

A traffic light icon beside the course type indicates whether the demand is covered or not.

Note Note

If a course type is new and there is no relevant data on which to base demand figures, you can define a demand yourself. The Create Demand dialog box appears where you enter the demand yourself .
