End of the caution.

Use

You can cancel both internal and external courses in both planned and firmly booked status. When you cancel a course, the system appends the relevant flag to it.

Features

  • You can rebook participants for another course of the same type. The system automatically proposes an alternative date (where available).

  • You can create prebookings for booked and unplaced participants (waiting list bookings). Alternatively, you can leave them on the waiting list.

Note Note

You specify whichever of these two options you wish to use in Customizing for Training Management under Start of the navigation path Recurring Activities Next navigation step Firmly Book/Cancel Next navigation step Control Data End of the navigation path in the SEMIN FIXRV entry.

When you firmly book a course, you can thus temporarily override the Customizing settings. You do so by choosing Start of the navigation path Settings Next navigation step Procedure Waiting List. End of the navigation path This does not change the standard settings in Customizing.

End of the note.

Results

  • The status firmly booked is automatically assigned to the course.

  • The course no longer features in the course catalog.

  • Resources reserved for the course are released again.

  • No further bookings can be made for a canceled course.

  • Participants that remain on the waiting list are considered rebookable . You can display a list of participants that still have to be rebooked with the function Start of the navigation path Participation Next navigation step Book Next navigation step To be rebooked. End of the navigation path

  • You can display a list of participants for whom a prebooking was made, by choosing Start of the navigation path Participation Next navigation step Book Next navigation step Prebooked End of the navigation path .
