Importing Adaptive Remote Function Call (RFC 2) Models
Prerequisites

You have entered the required SAP systems into the SAP logon group.

You have obtained authorization to access the SAP systems.

You have obtained authorization for the function group SYST, to reuse BAPIs and remote function modules.

You have created a Web Dynpro DC.
Procedure

In the Web Dynpro Explorer, click the required model with the secondary mouse button and choose Create Model.

In the New Model wizard, choose Adaptive RFC 2 Model.

Choose Next

Ensure that the destination details are as explained in the following table.

Name of the folder in which you want to store the model class files
The name of an existing package that is empty
Default logical system name for model instances
System used to store the generated RFC model instances

System used to store the generated RFC model instances
The default value is WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST
Logical Dictionary
Name of the dictionary in which you want to store the Simple types and Structure types for the model

Dictionary Types Package
Name of the package in which you want to store the Simple types and Structure types for the model
<model package>.types

To add SAP backend information, Choose Configure R/3 Destination. Enter the required data and choose OK. More Information: Creating RFC Destinations

To select the required RFC modules, perform the following steps.

Enter a function name or a wildcard character "*"

Enter a function group or a wildcard character "*"

Choose Search

Select the desired RFC modules

Choose Next

Optional: Edit the names of the model classes in the Editable Model Class Names column

Choose Next The Import log screen appears

Choose Finish

In the Web Dynpro Explorer, click the required model with the secondary mouse button and choose Reimport Model

In the Reimport Model wizard, view the imported RFCs in the Working Set area.

Repeat steps 7 to 10.
