CDR |

CPO |
A Charging Point Operator (CPO) operates a network of charging stations. OCPI terminology. Synonym: Charging Station Operator (CSO) in OCPP. |

eMSP |
An e-Mobility Service Provider (eMSP) gives EV drivers access to charging services. OCPI terminology. Synonyms: E-Mobility Provider (EMP), Mobility Operator (MO) in ISO 15118, E-Mobility Operator. |

EV |
An electric vehicle (EV) is a vehicle powered entirely or partially by electricity from a rechargeable battery. |

EVSE |
Stands for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment. An independently operated and managed part of a charging station that can deliver energy to one EV at a time. International Electrotechnical Commission |

OCPI |

OCPP |

Badge |
Physical item that is used to authenticate, log in, and identify users and their associated data at a charging station to start a charging session. SAP E-Mobility terminology. In OCPI and OCPP, the term "token" is used for this concept. |

Charging Session |
The period during which all relevant preconditions (such as authorization, plug inserted) are met for the charging of an EV. It doesn't matter whether the vehicle is being charged or not during that time. SAP E-Mobility terminology, based on OCPI. In OCPP 1.6, the term "transaction" is used for this concept. The term "charging session" covers a broader concept. An OCPP charging session starts with the first user or EV interaction, before authentication and charging occur. |

Inactivity |
The amount of time during which the electric vehicle was connected to the charging station but no energy was consumed to charge the electric vehicle. SAP E-Mobility terminology. |

Site |
A location that consists of one or multiple site areas. SAP E-Mobility terminology. |

Site Area |
One charging station or a group of multiple charging stations within a site. SAP E-Mobility terminology. |
