Linking Test Cases to Solution Documentation Processes

If you want to add executables to a test step, it must be assigned to the Solution Documentation process step.

To create Test Step test cases from within a solution in Solution Documentation, do the following:
  1. In the Solution Documentation, navigate to the business process, subprocess, or process for which you want to create a test case.

  2. To create a new test case, right-click on the Solution Documentation elements for which you want to create the test case and, in the context menu, choose Start of the navigation pathNew Next navigation step Test Cases Next navigation step Test Steps (Create)End of the navigation path.

The Test Steps Designer opens and you can edit the test case. For each process step, there is a test step on the Test Steps tab. The executables of the process steps are automatically assigned to the test steps.

  3. In the Test Steps Designer, edit, and complete the test case.

You can also assign an existing test case to process steps in Solution Documentation. To do so, in the context menu, choose Start of the navigation pathNew Next navigation step Test Cases Next navigation step Test Steps (Assign)End of the navigation path and select the test case that you want to assign.
