Create IMG Structure View

Prerequisites

You are in the IMG structure maintenance and have created at least one IMG structure and put it in your Favorites.

Context

You want to create a view of an existing IMG structure, containing some areas of it. You can use the manual filter function to hide areas of the IMG structure.

Procedure


  1. Mark the IMG structure of which you want to create a view, in your favorites.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathEdit Next navigation step Manual Filter Next navigation step CreateEnd of the navigation path.

  3. Enter a name for the view of the IMG structure in the following window, and choose Continue.

    The IMG structure is displayed.

  4. Choose the structure nodes for the IMG structure view. Position the cursor on a structure node and choose Start of the navigation pathEdit Next navigation step Mark +/- or click on the Mark +/-End of the navigation path pushbutton.

  5. Create the view with Start of the navigation pathStructure Next navigation step Generate or the GenerateEnd of the navigation path pushbutton.

  6. Enter a package in the Create Object Catalog Entry window and a transport request number in the following window.

Results

The view is created from the selected nodes. You can display the view in your favorites. You can edit the view via Start of the navigation pathEdit Next navigation step Manual Filter Next navigation step ChangeEnd of the navigation path.
