Create IMG structure

Procedure


  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathTools Next navigation step Hypertext Next navigation step Structures Next navigation step IMG StructuresEnd of the navigation path in the SAP menu or enter the transaction SIMGH in the command field.

    You go to the Edit IMG Structures screen.

  2. Enter the original language in which the structure is to be created, in the Language field.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation pathIMG Structure Next navigation step CreateEnd of the navigation path.

  4. Enter the structure title in the Explanatory Text field in the Create IMG Structure: Enter Name dialog box and click ENTER.

  5. Assign the structure to a package and save it in a transport request.

  6. Position the cursor on the displayed structure nodes. You can now create a structure in the following ways:

    1. Enter a structure node (with doc. class CHAP) one level lower

    2. Enter a IMG Activity (with doc. class SIMG) one level lower

    3. Enter an IMG Structure one level lower

      a) Insert a structure node

      b) Enter IMG activity

      c) Enter IMG structure

      Choose Start of the navigation pathEdit Next navigation step Nodes Next navigation step Enter Structure Nodes Next navigation step One Level LowerEnd of the navigation path.

      Choose Start of the navigation pathEdit Next navigation step Nodes Next navigation step Enter IMG Activity Next navigation step As SubnodeEnd of the navigation path.

      Choose Start of the navigation pathEdit Next navigation step Nodes Next navigation step Enter IMG Structure Next navigation step As SubnodeEnd of the navigation path.

      Enter the node name in the IMG structure node dialog box.

      Enter an ID and an IMG activity name.

      Enter the name of the structure in the Link to a Structure dialog box.

      You can use the search function to find a structure of which you only know part of the name.

      Assign an existing document or create a new one with the Create pushbutton.

  7. You can now enter more structure nodes at the same level or one level lower. Position the cursor on the node below which you want to enter the new node. Repeat the steps in the table as often as required.

  8. Save the structure with Start of the navigation pathImplementation Guide Next navigation step SaveEnd of the navigation path.
