Running Payroll on-Demand for Regular PayYou use this function to run regular payroll-on-demand for a specific employee for a payroll period.
To be able to use the on-demand payroll functionality within the Off-Cycle Workbench
, you must carry out the step Set Up

From the Off-Cycle Workbench
screen:
Enter the employee’s personnel number and choose Enter
.
The system enters the employee's previous payroll results in the History
Tab.Therefore, to see the payroll results, you do not have to leave the Off-Cycle Workbench
or run a report. The History
tab page in the Off-Cycle Workbench
displays an extract from the payroll cluster containing the most important information concerning the employee’s payroll results.
For example, you want to replace a torn check. You can refer to the check number that is displayed in the payroll history to find out for which payroll result the check was issued.
To see more detailed payroll information, you can display the remuneration statement for each payroll result.
In the Payroll
Tab, enter On-demand Payroll
as the off-cycle reason, if it is not already entered. Also, enter a pay date if you do not want use the current system (today’s) date.
Note
The pay date must be on or after the pay date of the previous regular payroll run.
From the payroll tab, you can also view the payroll calendar for the employee and define the payment method for the off-cycle payment to be made.
Choose Start
Payroll
.
The off-cycle payment run is activated for this employee. When this is completed, the payroll results for the off-cycle run appear on the screen, listing the off-cycle payments made.
From the payroll results display, you can also view the remuneration statement and the payroll log for this off-cycle payroll run.
Save your entries.
Your off-cycle payroll results generated with the Off-Cycle Workbench
are sent to the payroll cluster.
Once this program has been run for the employee concerned and the results saved, on-demand payroll for regular pay cannot be run again for this period.
If you do discover that the results are incorrect, you should use transaction PU01 to delete the results. Make the necessary master data corrections before running the program again. This correction procedure can only be used if a payment has not yet been made.
You are responsible for ensuring the follow-up activities are carried out correctly for the paid employee, such as running the bank transfer program RPCDTAG0.
