Navigation

You navigate through the main scene of the SAP Visual Business application either with the mouse, by using the navigation control. or by using the keyboard. Depending on the application, navigation can be limited or disabled, so that you are offered a static viewpoint on the scene, or limited powers to zooming and moving.

An object can be selectable or non-selectable. The particular application determines whether you can select certain SAP Visual Business objects to display more information or for further processing.

Geomap - 2D and 3D

In the geomap, you have the following navigation options:
  • Navigation Control

The navigation control allows you to adjust the camera position on the main scene to suit your requirements. The navigation control consists of a navigation rose and two sliders (see figure in following table).

Plain 3D (No Map)

It is possible to setup a 3D scene for visualizing 3D objects instead of the standard geo scene. The map is no longer displayed, only the objects are displayed in the scene. Furthermore, the navigation control is replaced by an orientation cube. This cube helps you understand the current view on the scene. It contains a geometric object with six different faces, in which four faces differ in shape (left, right, front, top) and two in color (back, bottom). Additionally, the current zoom factor is given in the top-right corner of the orientation cube control. This is illustrated by the following figures:
