Certificate Overview

The certificate overview gives you an overview of all certificates that are stored in the Production Connector configuration. The certificate overview evaluates the security configuration of all relevant configuration elements and checks the certificates that are found.

The certificate overview helps you to monitor the validity of the configured certificates.

To call the certificate overview, choose the Certificate Overview function key.

The certificate overview supports the following certificate usages:

• Host for the cloud services: Server certificate and certificate for internal Web socket communication

• Main service: Certificate for transport security of configuration services (Transport Layer Security TLS)

• OPC UA client: Application certificate

• Client proxy (universal Web service destination system): Certificate for authentication

The certificate overview informs you when a certificate is going to expire. An error symbol is displayed beside the certificates whose validity is due to end within a defined time interval.

At the lower edge of the certificate overview, you can define the length of this time interval. The default time interval is 30 days. This allows you to identify at an early stage which certificates need to be renewed.

Select a certificate and choose the Display Certificate Details pushbutton to display all information about the selected certificate.
