Performing Wizard-Based Basic Configuration for BW ABAP
Use
After installation but before manual configuration, you can perform the wizard-based basic configuration for SAP BW (BW ABAP). With wizard-based configuration, you can save time by cutting out manual steps.
Prerequisites
Make sure that the following have been done before performing wizard-based configuration:

The user for the administrator has been created with the relevant authorizations in the BW system (ABAP). Profiles S_BI-WHM_RFC and S_BI-WX_RFC have been assigned to this user (minimum requirement).

You have set the basic parameters for the BW system in accordance with the recommendations in SAP Note 1044441

If you want to use the BW metadata search: You have created an RFC destination for TREX installation for BW metadata search with TREX.

Procedure
Automatic Configuration
To perform wizard-based configuration, use the wizard-based configuration tool:

Open the wizard-based configuration tool.
For more information, see the documentation about the configuration wizard.

Under Display, choose All Configuration Tasks.

Select BI Initial Setup for ABAP and choose Start.

Enter the required data on the next screen.
-
Choose Continue.
Under Details, the system displays a list of the steps that the wizard performs. The steps are performed in sequence. The system makes the required settings and displays any configuration errors. By clicking on a step once it has been completed, you can call the log.
Manual Configuration
If it is not possible to perform all steps automatically, you can perform them manually. Manual configuration is also necessary after an upgrade.
