Activating Services in the BW (ABAP) System

Context

Before using services relevant for BI Java in the portal, you need to activate them.

Procedure


  1. In the BW system, call transaction SICF.

  2. Choose SERVICE as the hierarchy type.

  3. Choose Execute .

  4. Under default_host (Virtueller Default Host), select the following services and activate them by choosing Activate Service in each service's context menu:

    • Start of the navigation pathsap  Next navigation step bw  Next navigation step BEx End of the navigation path

    • Start of the navigation pathsap  Next navigation step bc  Next navigation step gui  Next navigation step sap  Next navigation step its  Next navigation step webguiEnd of the navigation path
