Report Manager overview

Report Manager™ is an application provided with SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management. Report Manager™ allows you to create reports from existing published books, and to script tasks to control how and when those reports are presented to users.

The Report Manager™ application is comprised of a Report Server service that provides a connection to the database, and the Report Task Editor™ that allows you to define jobs to run reports.

Report Manager™ allows users to perform the following tasks with books:

  • Print a report from any installed Profitability and Cost Management ™ application
  • Create desktop shortcuts to reports
  • Create or amend scripts to control the distribution of reports
  • Produce an Adobe PDF ™ document from a published book

Data is held in a common database (Framework) ensuring that everyone is working from the same data set, and that everyone involved in the process can immediately see changes.
