Configuring the MobileClient for Handhelds

Use

Either you or your administrator must configure the mobile client settings. You must synchronize with the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) only after you configure these settings.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged on to the mobile client.
  • You have received the required details, such as Client, Host, and Port name from your administrator.

Procedure

  1. On the mobile client homepage, choose Settings
  2. Use the details in the following table as your next steps:
    Field Action

    Language

    This is a read-only field containing the language that you use in the application.

    Country

    Enter the country in which you work. The country information affects the currency, date, time, and number formats.

    TimeZone

    Enter the current time zone of the country in which you work.

    Protocol

    Select the protocol supported by the client, either http or https.

    Host

    Enter the Host name or IP address of the DOE

    Port

    Enter the Port name of (or identifier for) the DOE

    Client

    Enter the SAP system client (for example, 100)
  3. Choose Ok.
