Checking Set Usage

You can use the UtilitiesSet usage function to find out if a set is being used in:

  • Another set

  • A report

  • A rollup

  • A data set

  • An allocation

  • A planning parameter

  • A variable

  • A validation/substitution

  • Currency translation

You can use this function from the Create/Display/Change/Delete Set screens.

Procedure

  1. Choose UtilitiesSet usage .

  2. The Display Set Usage screen appears.

  3. Enter data as required.

  4. The data you enter determines the data that is selected for display.

  5. Choose ProgramExecute .

  6. The Where-Used List screen appears, displaying information about the set you entered on the previous screen, such as the set name, the table that uses the set, and where the set is used.

  7. You can use the following additional processing functions on this screen.

Object Print

Print the list of sets and their set usage.

Edit Choose

Display the object on which the cursor is positioned (for example, a set, report, and so on). The system branches to the respective Display transaction.

View Expand/collapse

Expand or collapse the hierarchy of the set on which the cursor is positioned, if the set consists of more than one hierarchical level.

View Expand all

Expand all hierarchical levels of the set on which the cursor is positioned.
