Using Namespaces to Test Data
Use
The component and system landscape description contain current information about your system landscape. Using SLD simulations, you can also plan a future system landscape. We recommend that you test simulations in a different area to the current system landscape.
The namespace concept of the SLD allows you to create various namespaces as logical areas. The sld/active namespace mirrors the real system landscape. When you create a new namespace, it is initially empty. To create a duplicate of a namespace for test purposes, back up the content of the source namespace (see Backing Up CIM Instances ) and import it to the target namespace (see Updating the Software Catalog ).
