SAP for Higher Education & Research: Campus Management

Use

In this business function set(BFS), we provide the business functions(BFs) for the special requirements of Campus Management .

The Campus Management product as part of the SAP for Higher Education & Researchindustry business solution is a component of SAP ECC Industry Extension Public Services 6.0 from product version SAP IS-HER-CM 6.0 . If you want to run Campus Management , you must activate the BFS CAMPUS_MANAGEMENT ( SAP Campus Management ).

When you reinstall and implement Campus Management , you must select the BFS CAMPUS_MANAGEMENT in transaction SFW5 and activate the desired BFs.

However, when you upgrade your system from release IS‑PS‑CA 4.64, 4.71, or 4.72, you must choose one of the following BFSs:

  • CAMPUS_MANAGEMENT

    You choose this BFS if you run Campus Management (IS‑HER‑CM).

  • PUBLIC_SERVICES

    You choose this BFS if you run Collection and Disbursement (PSCD) without Campus Management .

Both BFSs are compatible with previous releases of the IS-PS-CA software component. During the upgrade procedure, the system activates the relevant BF.

The following table contains an overview of the BFs that are relevant for Campus Management . The table also contains information about which BF is always activated in the BFS, and which BF the system automatically activates with the BFS when you run an upgrade.

When you upgrade to product version SAP IS-HER-CM 6.0 , all of the BFs in the table are activated.

In a new installation, only the following BFs are activated:

  • ISHERCM_MAIN

  • ISHERCM_SETTINGS

  • PSCD

You can also activate the other BFs in a new installation.

Note Note

The BF FICA_FM ( Funds Management Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, FI-CA ) activates integration with Funds Management of Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (see also SAP Note 834815).

The BF PSCD ( Public Sector Collection & Disbursement ) is not visible, but active in the background. The following BFs of PSCD are not relevant for Campus Management :
