Data Transfer from the Injury/Illness Log Not every accident is entered immediately in the
Incident/Accident log
. For example, if the injured person goes to the company first aid room for first aid treatment, some legislation stipulates that an entry must be made in the injury/illness log. To do this, you can use the
injury/illness log (EHS-HEA-IIL)
in the
Occupational Health
(EHS-HEA) component.
If you also enter the accident at a later date in the
Incident/Accident Log
in the
Incident/Accident Management
(EHS-IHS-IA) component, you do not need to enter all the data again; you can transfer it from the injury/illness log entry using the data transfer function.
To be able to use data transfer, you need the
Injury/Illness Log
(EHS-HEA-IIL) component. The data in injury/illness log entries must be proposed for transfer. The
injury/illness log entry type
controls the transfer proposals.
You can transfer data from one or more injury/illness log entries to an incident/accident log entry. To do this you select from a proposal list the injury/illness log entries from which you want to transfer data.
You can also reject entries in the proposal list. The relevant entries are then removed from the proposal list.
When you start the transfer, the data is copied from the
Injury/Illness Log
either to an entry you selected or to a new entry in the incident/accident log. If several illness/injury log entries contain similar data (for example, time of event), the system transfers the data from the first entry selected in the proposal list.
Note
When the data is transferred to an existing entry in the incident/accident log, data already stored in that entry is not overwritten.
In the standard system you can transfer the following data from the
Injury/Illness Log
:
Time of event (date, time)
Indicator:
Fatality
Event location (plant, work area, accident location, description of accident location)
Persons Involved
Note
If you want to transfer more data from the injury/illness log, you can define an enhancement for the function when you set up the system. You can use the
user exit
IAL_TRANSP
for this purpose. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for
Basic Data and Tools
under
Manage User Exits
.
Once you have run the transfer, you can navigate to the list of injury/illness log entries from which you transferred the data to the respective incident/accident log entry by choosing
Injury/Illness Log
and call the various entries.
In the same way you can also call the incident/accident log entry that received the data from within the injury/illness log.
As long as the injury/illness log entry is still open, you can reset the status of the data transfer in the injury/illness log from
Not transferred
or
Transferred
to
Not specified
again. This means the relevant injury/illness log entry is placed in the proposal list again.
This function is
not
active in the standard system. If you want to use it, you must make the necessary settings for the environment parameter
IHS_FAL_PRSTDT_FLG
in Customizing for
Basic Data and Tools
under
Specify Environment Parameters
.
You access data transfer by choosing
from
Injury/Illness Log
in the
Industrial Hygiene and Safety menu
.This takes you to the proposal list with the entries that are proposed for transfer in the
Injury/Illness log
..
