Using Integration in Time Management The following procedures show how you can use integration in
Time Management
.
You can perform the following activities:
Create absences
Remove the assignment to absences
Delete absences
Assign absences
Display linked absences
You are editing an incident/accident log entry for a person affected who is an
employee. You are in the
details screen for the person affected and have opened the
Time Data
tab page.
You call the various activities using a pushbutton. The description on this button changes depending on the activities that are possible in each stage of editing the time data.
Choose
Create HR absence
.
The
Incident/Accident Log: Create/Assign Absence
dialog box appears. The
Create absence
tab page is shown.
Enter the required data and choose
with the quick info text
Create Absence
.
This creates the absence in
Time Management
and enters the data relevant for processing of the accident in the
time data
for the incident/accident log entry.
The name of the pushbutton has changed. It now appears as
Change HR absence
.
You can then: edit the absence, remove the assignment to the absence, or delete the absence again.

If the validity interval of an absence you use in the
incident/accident log
is changed in
Time Management
, the key of the data record changes. This means that the absence in the
incident/accident log
references a data record that no longer exists. If this is the case, a system message will appear when you attempt to call the data record from the
incident/accident log
. There you can correct the absence by assigning the current absence from
Time Management
or you can create a new absence.

We recommend you schedule the report program
Check and Correct Absences in Incident/Accident Log
as a regular job. For more information on this report program, see
Reporting for the Incident/Accident Log
Choose
Change HR absence
.
The
Incident/Accident Log: Edit Absence
dialog box appears. The
Change absence
tab page is shown.
Choose
with the quick info text
Delete Assignment to Absence
.
This removes the absence from the incident/accident log entry. The absence still exists in
Time Management
.
The name of the pushbutton changes to
Create HR absence
.
Choose
Change HR absence
.
The
Incident/Accident Log: Edit Absence
dialog box appears. The
Change absence
tab page is shown.
Choose
with the quick info text
Delete Absence
.
This removes the absence from the incident/accident log entry and deletes it in
Time Management
.
If corresponding absences already exist in
Time Management
for the person affected, these absences are proposed to you for assignment.
Choose
Create HR absence
.
The
Incident/Accident Log: Create/Assign Absence
dialog box appears.
Go to the
Assign absence
tab page.
A list of absences that correspond to the accident category appears.
Select the required data record and choose
with the quick info text
Assign Absence
.
The corresponding time and absence data is transferred to the
time data
of the incident/accident log entry.
In the same way as when you create an absence you can then edit the assigned absence, delete it, or remove the assignment again.
In
Time Management
, absences that belong together can be linked by means of an indicator. For example, a subsequent absence caused by a related illness can be linked to the original absence caused directly by the accident. This can have an effect on the
end of continued pay
.
Linked absences are displayed in the incident/accident log for information purposes. If a link exists, when you choose
Change HR absence
the additional
Display links
tab page
appears in which the links are listed.
