Summated Rating You use this analysis method to assess agents that are compositions and agents that occur in combination with other agents.
The result contains the summated index (numeric value) and the additive rating (A, B, C, and so on). These then reflect the risk potential of the mixture.
The additive rating is taken into account when the main rating is calculated.
The following prerequisites must be fulfilled for you to be able to use the function:
The individual agents must exist in the exposure profile of the work area you are assessing and risk assessment entries must exist.
For the system to be able to read reference values from the
specification database
, the required settings must have been made in Customizing for
Industrial Hygiene and Safety
under
Specify Measurement Items
.
To call the function, navigate from the respective
risk assessment
to the analysis using
with the quick info text
Analyze
and then choose the
Summated Rating
tab page. Here you specify which agents and measurements you want to analyze. You can use a search dialog box to help you do this.
Once you have made your selection, the system determines the corresponding reference values and calculates the individual ratings. It then determines the summated index and proposes an additive rating. You can change this value.
The activities are explained in detail below:
To add an agent, proceed as follows:
Choose
with the quick info text
Insert
in the lower part of the
Summated Rating
tab page. This starts the user exit ANLS_MSFND with the function module CBIH_LB43_UE_MSMNT_FIND and the search dialog box for measurements appears.
In the search dialog box, you can use the
Work area
and
Composition
indicators to specify whether the search for measurements is to be run for all agents entered in the work area or whether only agents are to be searched for that are part of a
composition
When you search using the composition, the system evaluates the value assignment type
Hazardous ingredients
(SAP_EHS_1012_004) in the standard system. If you want to access another value assignment type, you must enter it in Customizing for
Basic Data and Tools
as the value for the environment parameter IHS_ERQT_ANLS_ESTCAT under
Specify Environment Parameters
.

The system displays only the constituents of the compositionfor which you have entered measurements in the amounts function.
By specifying other search criteria for the agent and the measurement, you can further restrict the search.
As the result of the search a hit list appears. Here you can select the required agents with the relevant measurements (amounts) and transfer them to the
Summated Rating
tab page. Before displaying the results, the system determines the following other data:
Reference values:These are taken from the
specification database
and displayed using the user exit IHS_LIMGET with the function module CBIH_LB12_USEX_HAZ_GET_EPLIMIT.
Indexes:These are each specified as a quotient of the measured value and reference value. You can change the values.
Individual ratings:These are calculated using the user exit ANLS_SRTCP with the function module CBIH_LB31_COMPUTE_RATING.
You can assign a weighting factor to each index. The indexes are then multiplied by this value before the summated rating is calculated. The weighting is set to the value 1 as default.
In the
Rating
group box, the system displays the following summated values:
Summated index
This is the sum of the indexes.
Weighted summated index
This is the result of adding the products of the weighting and the index.
You can calculate the relevant
additive rating and the
weighted additive rating by using
Rating
. The user exit ANLS_SCRAT with the function module CBIH_LB42_UE_SCRAT_COMP is started for the calculation. You can overwrite the additive ratings manually.
