Text Types

Use

There are two options for saving texts in the OTR: as an OTR short text or an OTR long text.

Applications can have only short texts (currently Exception Builder), only long texts (HTTP services), or both (BSP applications, see also Business Server Pages).

The original language of a new text is the current logon language.

OTR Short Texts

Enter short, recurring texts with a high degree of reusability as OTR short texts (up to 255 characters in length).

OTR Long Texts

Enter longer texts that usually occur only once and are unlikely to be reused as OTR long texts (unlimited length).
