Defining the Message Structure

Context

You can define whether multiple notifications are to be grouped together in one message or whether a separate message is to be created for each notification. By grouping notifications together you can reduce the number of mail messages that each user receives, for example.

To define the message structure, in the subscription, specify the required granularity. The granularity also determines whether the work items can displayed or executed from within the message (see also: Granularity and Message Structure).

Procedure

  1. Create a subscription in the administration application.

  2. On the Message tab page, choose the required granularity and make the required selections for displaying and executing work items (see also: Displaying or Executing Work Items from Within a Message).
