Assigning a Back-End Adapter to a Data Object at Runtime

Prerequisites

You have logged on to SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.
You have created the required data objects and back-end adapters or assigned them using the DOE Workbench during design-time.

In SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator (NWMA), you can assign a back-end adapter to a data object. This ensures the following:

The data from the back-end system reaches the intended data objects in the DOE.
If more back-end adapters exist, space is optimally utilized in the CDS and CPU usage is minimized.

Choose Configuration .
Choose Back-End Configuration .
In the Parameter Key and Name table, choose ACTIVE_ADAPTER .
In the Parameter List table, select the required row and choose the Change pushbutton.
In the Adapter column, assign the required back-end adapter.

Example

If a back-end adapter 'X' is assigned during design-time to a data object, and you assign a new back-end adapter 'Y' in the portal, DOE considers the back-end adapter 'Y' for data load.

Note

To remove the back-end adapter assignment to a data object, choose <NONE> . This stops the data flow to the data object from the back-end system.
