Configuring the Status Monitor

Context

The status monitor for the mobile client is installed along with the mobile client for laptops and appears in the system tray as an icon. The monitor provides you with the following client information:

  • Current state of the client, that is, whether the client is running or not

  • Type of synchronization running on the client, whether background or manual

  • Last error that occurred on the client during synchronization

You can configure the port number on the client that the status monitor must use.

Procedure


  1. On the Mobile client, in the ..\SAP NetWeaver Mobile Client\... path, locate the Settings folder.

  2. In the default.properties file, add the value to the com.sap.tc.mobile.cfs.corecompat.statusmonitorport parameter, for example, com.sap.tc.mobile.cfs.corecompat.statusmonitorport=45003 .

    The port numbers supported by the client are 45003, 45004 and 45010.
