Creating a Test Device

Prerequisites

You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Choose Administration .
Under Device Management , choose Device Administration .
In the Search Results section of the screen, choose Create .
In the Device name field, enter a name for the device.
In the Description field, enter a description for the device.
In the User field, enter a user for the device.
Select Create as Test Device .

Note

After mobile components are uploaded to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE), you must test these components before you deploy them to a large number of productive mobile devices. You can test these mobile components only on devices that are created using the Create as Test Device option.
Choose Create .

The system creates a device with the name you specified. In addition, the system generates a device ID, which logically identifies a device in the DOE.
