Migrating from Hot Folders to Cloud Hot Folders

When migrating from on-premise to the public cloud version of SAP Commerce Cloud, you need to migrate from standard hot folders to Cloud Hot Folders.

Before migrating to Cloud Hot Folders, it's advisable to familiarize yourself with how Azure Blob storage and Cloud Hot Folders work from a technical perspective.

The migration process involves the following steps:

  1. Set up a local development environment to test Cloud Hot Folders locally. For more information, see Testing Cloud Hot Folders in a Local Environment
  2. Configure local.properties. For more information, see Microsoft Azure Blob Storage Connection Properties
  3. Run a system update to update the type system definitions in the Cloud Hot Folder database, as described in Testing Cloud Hot Folders in a Local Environment
