Maintaining a Formula

Procedure

After you have chosen a formula , you can maintain it as follows:

Select the line item and choose Maintain formula .

The Conditions Create: Formula Terms screen appears and is divided into the following areas :

  1. In the first screen area, enter a description of the formula in the Formula Description field. You are free to choose the content of the description.

  2. Enter data as required in the A v B rule field. The A v B rule determines how the A and B terms are individually used or combined to calculate the overall formula value.

  3. In the Rate currency field, enter the currency in which you want the formula prices to be calculated.

The A Term and B Term areas of the screen contain the formula terms which are used according to the A v B rule . Each term can contain several line items. The term value then results from the total of all line items.
