Warehouse Billing Measurement Management

Use

After you have activated a request for billing measurement, you can display the generated warehouse billing measurements (WBM) in the Warehouse Management Monitor under Start of the navigation path Billing Next navigation step Warehouse Billing Measurement End of the navigation path . The WBM contains the quantity of warehouse services used. A WBM can be generated for every billing period you have defined.

The quantity in the WBM is obtained from the business data recorded into the snapshots. In the Warehouse Management Monitor, you can see the business data that was used to calculate the quantity as the proof of services.

Billing measurement document has following statuses:

Ready for Distribution

After the quantity is calculated, you can send this data to the external billing system for charge calculation and settlement.
Distributed

Specifies that the system has sent quantity data to the external billing system for charge calculation and settlement
No Distribution

Specifies that the WBM cannot be sent to the external billing system for charge calculation and settlement. You can use the WBM for only analysis purposes.

Note
The WBMs that are in the status No Distribution by default are generated using Distribute Warehouse Billing Measurements report in redo mode. For more information, see the documentation for the report Distribute Warehouse Billing Measurements in transactionse38.

Integration

You can use the SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) system to calculate charge and create settlements for a quantity of warehouse services used. You have specified settings for the warehouse billing measurement type in Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management under Billing Define Warehouse Billing Measurement Types.
You have assigned the warehouse billing measurement type to a request for warehouse billing measurement type in Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management under Billing Define Warehouse Billing Measurement Types

Warehouse Billing Measurement Generation

You can generate the WBM on the SAP Menu under Start of the navigation path SCM Extended Warehouse Management Next navigation step Extended Warehouse Management Billing Billing Generate Billing Measurement End of the navigation path

The system displays the WBM in the Warehouse Management Monitor under Start of the navigation path Billing Next navigation step Billing Measurement End of the navigation path .

Warehouse Billing Measurement Distribution

You can perform one of the following actions to send the quantity information to the external billing system:

You can manually send the quantity information in the WBM
Execute the report Distribute Warehouse Billing Measurements (/SCWM/WB_DISTRIBUTE_BM) in transaction SE38
Execute the report on the SAP Menu under SCM Extended Warehouse Management Extended Warehouse Management Billing Billing Distribute Warehouse Billing Measurements

The status of the WBM changes to Distributed.
