Automatic Refresh

Use

In the warehouse management monitor, you can set a default automatic refresh for all displayed nodes and an automatic refresh for specific nodes. You specify the refresh interval in minutes and it is specific to your user.

Features

  • The automatic refresh interval for specific nodes overrules the default refresh interval.

  • The system automatically refreshes a node only if the node is displayed.

  • You can suspend automatic refresh and you can reactivate it.

  • If parent and child nodes are displayed, the system uses the lowest refresh interval of both nodes.

  • If a parent node of a child node is displayed in the form view, the system skips the automatic refresh.

    The system reactivates automatic refresh when you go back to the list view.

  • If a child node is displayed, the system skips the automatic refresh unless all lines of the parent node are selected for drill-down.

  • If you perform any action in the warehouse management monitor, for example, drill down or execute a monitor method (see Monitor Methods), the system postpones automatic refresh.

    Then if you, for example, display the warehouse order creation log for a warehouse order, the system restarts the automatic refresh interval when you close the warehouse order creation log.

Activities

  • To specify the default refresh interval, specify the refresh interval in the Warehouse Management Monitor dialog box when you first open the warehouse management monitor. Alternatively, choose Proposed Values in the warehouse management monitor.

  • To specify the refresh interval for a specific node, in the context menu of the node, choose Set Refresh Interval to open the Set Refresh Interval dialog box.

    Note that if you specify a default refresh interval, you can prevent a refresh of a specific node by removing the number or entering 0 in the Node Refresh (Mins) field in the Set Refresh Interval dialog box for the specific node.

  • You can suspend automatic refresh by choosing the Suspend Refresh button. You can reactivate automatic refresh by choosing the Activate Refresh button.
