The record type groups characteristics of billable items which are related in a business sense.

Structure

The system administers data of the following record types separately in the database and the main memory:

  • IT (main items)

  • PY (payment data items)

  • TX (tax items)

Billable items of the record type IT are required and provide the fundamental data for billing. The other record types are dependent record types that the system cannot bill without existing IT records (such as credit card supplements).

The system uses separate tables for each record type.
