Archiving Promotions (LO-MD-PR)
Archiving object W_PROMO
is used to archive promotions.
Promotions serve as a method of changing (usually lowering) prices on certain merchandise in order to boost sales. Promotions always have a specific validity period; after the promotion end date, prices automatically revert back to the normal price, so it is no longer necessary to keep the old data.
This archiving object allows you to back up outdated promotion data to an external storage device and delete it from your active system to free up space.
