Note Note

You can only use the group valuation views and profit center valuation views in currencies 10 and 30 and convert them in customer-defined currency types.

Integration

Values in Controlling are transferred directly to General Ledger Accounting using the Real-Time Integration of Controlling with General Ledger Accounting. It is not necessary to use a reconciliation ledger.

Prerequisites

If you map the profit center invoice in general ledger accounting and use the profit center valuation view in the system, then you must use the profit center valuation view in a ledger of the journal entry.

Key Features

The following two functions are available: For your valuation views, you can either use separate ledgers or map multiple valuation views within a ledger.

If you decide on the scenario with separate ledgers, assign a valuation view to a ledger: The legal, group, or profit center valuation view. In this ledger, you can only configure currency types in the appropriate valuation view. The local and global currency are then always configured in the valuation view of the respective ledger.

If you want to use multiple valuation views within a ledger, do not assign a valuation view to the ledger. The local and global currency are then always used in the legal valuation view in this ledger.

The leading ledger can be used either with the legal valuation view or without restriction to one valuation view; however, it cannot be configured exclusively with only group- or profit center valuation views.

In each valuation view, complete values are posted, not delta values. You can use an authorization concept to control how the datasets for the multiple valuation approaches are accessed.
