Use

You can copy your Report Writer or Report Painter reports from Profit Center Accounting to new General Ledger Accounting. This is possible for standard reports as well as your own reports. A corresponding tool supports you in this.

Prerequisites

In classic Profit Center Accounting, you have standard reports or your own reports that you want to copy.

To be able to use the Report Writer reports or the Report Painter reports in new General Ledger Accounting, you need to have assigned the scenario Profit Center Update to at least one ledger in Customizing for Financial Accounting (New)

Features

The tool for transferring the reports supports you as follows:

You can select a source and target library.

When transferring the reports, the system also transfers dependent objects (such as Sets and Variables ) to the new environment, if required. This is necessary if the field name has been changed, for example.

For the Account field in the report, you can use Substitution : In this way, you can replace the Account Number from Profit Center Accounting (tableGLPCT, fieldRAACCT) with the Account field (as standard in tableFAGLFLEXT, fieldRACCT) or with the Cost Element field (tableFAGLFLEXT, fieldCOST_ELEM) in new General Ledger Accounting.

You can transfer the reports either in a test run or in an update run. You can also perform the transfer in background processing.

During the report transfer, the system proposes a name for the target report, and you can either adopt or change this name.

Before the reports are transferred, the system determines whether the reports in Profit Center Accounting can be transferred. For this, the reports to be transferred are categorized as follows:

Reports that can be transferred with problems

Reports that may require postprocessing

Reports that cannot be transferred

In an update run, the system checks whether the report to be transferred already exists in the target library and issues a warning message where necessary.

The report transfer is recorded in detailed logs, which are also saved during an update run.

In addition to the library 0FL: New General Ledger , you can also use the library 0FS: FI-GL (New): Totals and Statistical Key Figures for r eporting on the basis of statistical key figures.

Activities

If you use your own table group, you need to create the corresponding libraries yourself. You can use libraries0FLand0FSas templates.

The same basic key figures have to exist in the source library and the target library. If this is not the case, you need to include the basic key figures in the target library and activate them there.

To transfer the Report Writer reports or Report Painter reports, perform the following activity in Customizing for Financial Accounting (New) General Ledger Accounting (New) → Information System → Report Writer/Report Painter Reports → Transfer of Reports from Profit Center Accounting → Transfer Reports

To display the logs detailing the report transfer, perform the following activity in Customizing for Financial Accounting (New) General Ledger Accounting (New) → Information System → Report Writer/Report Painter Reports → Transfer of Reports from Profit Center Accounting → Display Report Transfer Logs
