Displaying Totals RecordsThe totals record display is primarily used to check the values that appear in other reports. The system displays the records as they are stored in the database.
All the data reflected in Profit Center Accounting is stored in the totals record table GLPCT . This table contains data which is summarized according to certain characteristics and forms the basis for all reports defined with the Report Writer or the Report Painter (regardless of whether or not you choose to store line items). The individual postings are summarized according to the following characteristics:
record type (0=actual, 1=plan, 2=actual assessment/distribution, 3=plan assessment/distribution)
Version
Posting period and fiscal year
controlling area and company code
revenue/cost element or account
profit center
partner profit center
debits/credits
function area
origin object

Displaying periods
From this overview, you can display an individual totals record broken down by periods. To do so, double-click on the desired line, or position the cursor there and choose . On the period screen, the following functions are available:
