Creating a Teaser
Use
A teaser generally appears on a homepage and has the job of encouraging visitors to read an article that is located on another page. A typical teaser contains a title, an image, and a short text. The length of the text is limited. The title is usually a link that the user can click to go to the full article.
You create or edit a teaser with the help of the teaser editor. The following table provides and overview of the elements in the teaser editor:

Procedure
Depending on how you want to use the teaser, you create it within a page or in a KM shared content folder (for example, the Shared Content folder of an area). For more information about the different options for creating Web content, see: Creating Web Content .

Start the teaser editor.
You start the teaser editor within a page, or in a KM shared content folder. For more information, see: Creating and Editing Web Content .
The system displays the teaser editor in a new browser window.

Add an image.

In the teaser editor, choose Select Image .

In the Web content browser, navigate to the KM folder that contains the image you want to add.

Select the image.

Specify the link to the target object that users should visit when they choose the title of the teaser.

To specify an external link, enter the URL directly in the in the Link URL field.

To specify an internal link , either enter the link directly in the Link URL field, or browse the KM folders to locate the respective object.

If you want the target object to open in a new window, select the Open in new window checkbox.

Enter the short text for the teaser.

Choose Save , and then choose Close .
