Setting Up the Overview Page

Use

The Web Page Composer Overview page consists of a number of components that help Web Page Composer users find and work with the content that they need. The Overview page is provided with the following components activated by default:

  • Recently Modified

  • Bookmarks

  • Waiting for Approval

In SAP NetWeaver Administrator you can disable any of these components to remove them from the Overview page.

In addition to these components, a Find component is also available to help portal users find Web Page Composer content. This component is not included in the Overview page by default. You can add the Find component to the Overview page manually.

Procedure

  1. In SAP NetWeaver Administrator, access the Application Modules page.

    For more information, see Accessing Portal Services in SAP NetWeaver Administrator .

  2. In the Module List , find com.sap.portal.pcc.pccservices .

  3. In the Web Module Details area, find WPCConfigurationService .

  4. Configure the following properties to enable or disable the components on the Overview page:

    • portal.wpc.activateRecentlyModified

    • portal.wpc.activateBookmarks

    • portal.wpc.activateWaitingforApproval

Adding the Find Component

  1. In the portal administration environment, go to Start of the navigation pathContent Administration Next navigation step Portal Content ManagementEnd of the navigation path.

  2. In the Portal Catalog, go to Start of the navigation pathPortal Content Next navigation step Templates Next navigation step WPC Templates Next navigation step iViews Next navigation step Personalized OverviewEnd of the navigation path ( pcd:portal_content/templates/pcc/iviews/PersonalizedOverview ).

  3. In the context menu of the Personalized Overview page, choose Start of the navigation pathOpen Next navigation step PageEnd of the navigation path.

    The Personalized Overview page opens in the Page editor.

  4. In the Portal Catalog, go to Start of the navigation pathPortal Content Next navigation step Content Provided by SAP Next navigation step Admin Interfaces Next navigation step Admin iView Templates Next navigation step Portal Editors Next navigation step WPC Next navigation step FindEnd of the navigation path.

  5. In the context menu of the Find page, choose Start of the navigation pathAdd Page to Page Next navigation step Delta LinkEnd of the navigation path.

    The Find component is added to the Overview page. You can change its location on the page using the Page editor functions.
