Configuring Global Entry Points

Use

Entry points allow you to navigate directly to frequently used Knowledge Management (KM) folders. You can add additional entry points to existing ones.

You use entry points in the following cases:

  • In the Web content browser for selecting images in the HTML editor and in the Article Web form

  • In the Web content browser for selecting internal links in the Link List Web form and in the HTML editor

  • When performing copy and move operations

There are the following types of entry points:

  • Area-specific entry points are only visible in a specific area when the Web content browser is called.

To create an area-specific entry point, in the content library, create an Entry Points folder for the area in question, and then create a link to the target folder in the KM repository.

  • Global entry points are visible in the Web content browser regardless of the current area.
