Determining Key Figure Values

Use

You have the possibility to determine key figure values in various systems and to display them in the SAP NetWeaver Portal. The key figures can originate from ERP systems, R/3 systems, the SAP Business Information Warehouse, or another external systems.

Prerequisites

  • For key figures that can be personalized, the key figure user must have a valid user with the necessary authorizations for key figure value determination in the system that determines key figure values.

  • For key figures that cannot be personalized, you enter a user for key figure value determination when defining the key figure. This user must have the authorization for key figure value determination.

  • If the system that determines key figure values is not the key figure managing system, that is the system in which the key figure monitor is installed, you must have set up an RFC connection. You have also set up the two systems as trusted or trusting systems.

    Caution Caution

    If details about a key figure are displayed in the system that is connected to the key figure managing system over an RFC connection, the call is performed by the user currently logged on to the system. The authorizations of each user are thereby taken into account. To prevent the user seeing key figure details for which they have no authorization, you do not enter a fixed user with password in the RFC connection.
