Defining Key Figures You define key figures to display them in the key figure monitor in the Portal.
You define the following data for each key figure:
General:
Technical name, name, and description
Source Data
Type and technical name of key figure source system
Report that determines the value of the key figure and the variant belonging to it
User name under which the key figure values are determined (for key figure that cannot be personalized)
BW query and name of the Information Consumer Pattern for displaying the key figure details from SAP BW
External URL for displaying the key figures from external systems
Display:
Unit of measure or currency of key figure
Number of decimal places displayed
Value Range
Type of key figure
Value range of key figure defined by the maximum and minimum value of the key figure
Threshold values
Target value

Periodicity:
The entries
Interval

Number of Periods
define the validity of and the interval for updating key figure values. They are displayed in the graphic display of the key figure value history as the X-axis. They also provide the selection period for deleting key figure values with the report KFM_OBSOLETE_VALUES_DELETE. This report deletes all values that are older than a certain number of periods.

The report deletes all values that are older than 07.12.
