Defining an Interface Design

Prerequisites

  • Your user master record contains authorization object C_LOVC_DSG with the activity that you want to perform.

  • The configuration profile contains a name for an interface design under Start of the navigation path Confign initial screen Next navigation step UserInterf. End of the navigation path This activates the function on the value assignment screen.

Procedure

Creating an Interface Design

  1. In the configuration editor (value assignment screen) choose Start of the navigation path Value assignment Next navigation step Interface design Next navigation step Characteristic grouping. End of the navigation path

You see a dialog box in which you must enter a name for the group. The characteristics are grouped under this name.

  • You can define whether the groups of characteristics are displayed as pushbuttons or tabs on the value assignment screen. You can define up to 15 pushbuttons and up to 10 tabs.

  • If you do not want to display the characteristics individually on the value assignment screen, select Summarize .

Tabs are summarized automatically.

The Summarize function does not apply to the Sequence indicator.

Confirm.

  1. You see the processing screen, where you can define the user interface for the grouped characteristics.

  1. Choose Characteristics . Select the characteristics that you want to group together.

  1. Save your interface design.

Changing an Interface Design

  1. In the configuration editor (value assignment screen), choose Start of the navigation path Value assignment Next navigation step Interface design Next navigation step Overview, End of the navigation path and call the characteristics group you want to change.

  2. You see the processing screen for interface design, where you can make your changes.

  3. Save your interface design.

Deleting an Interface Design

  1. Call the characteristics group that you want to delete and go to the processing screen for interface designs.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Chars group End of the navigation path on the processing screen for interface design.

  3. You can now delete the characteristics group and save.
