Classification

Use

You can use the modeling environment for Variant Configuration to classify the material you have loaded. In other words, you can assign a variant class to it.

Prerequisites

A variant class must exist before you can classify a material.

You cannot use the modeling environment to create classes .

Restrictions

You can assign only one variant class to a material in the modeling environment.

You cannot define a range of values in the classification.

Activities

To classify a material, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the configurable material.

  2. Choose Assign Class from the context menu .

  3. Enter the required data and choose Continue .

Result

The assigned variant class is displayed under the material in the model tree .
