Displaying Standard Distribution

Use

You can display a transparent normal distribution curve over the histogram along with a title.

Prerequisites

You must have selected the chart type Histogram and the appropriate chart subtype.

Procedure

Specifying the mean value of the curve

1. Double-click the standard distribution curve.

2. Choose Standard distribution.

3. Specify the mean value.

Specifying the standard deviation

1. Carry out steps 1 and 2 as in the first procedure.

2. Specify the standard deviation.

Specifying a title for the curve

1. Carry out steps 1 and 2 as in the first procedure.

2. Deselect the indicator Automatic.

3. Specify a title under Distribution name.

4. Select the indicator Display name on chart.

Formatting the curve

1. Double-click the standard distribution curve.

2. Choose Pattern.

3. Specify the required attributes.
