Administrator

Managing Applications

Manage multiple native, hybrid, Web, Agentry, and MobileBI applications from a single location.

Context

You can add, edit, or delete applications; and ping a selected application for back-end connection and authorization URL status. View information for all applications, or retrieve a filtered subset of applications. You can view the applications using a list view, or a tile view.

Procedure

  1. In Management Cockpit, select Applications.
    Field Value
Application ID Unique identifier for the application, in reverse-domain notation. This is the application or bundled identifier that the application developer assigns or generates during application development. The administrator uses the application ID to register the application with SAP Mobile Platform, and the client application uses the application ID to send requests to the server.
Name Application name can contain only alphanumeric characters, spaces, underscores, and periods, and be up to 80 characters long.
Type Application type. Examples include native, hybrid, Web, Agentry, and MobileBI.
Vendor Vendor who developed the application.
Security Configuration The security setting for the application, such as None, Basic, and so forth.
Creation Date The date the application was deployed in SAP Mobile Platform.
  2. (Optional) Use searching, filtering, and sorting options to display a subset of applications.
  3. Identify an application of interest, and, under Actions, click .

  4. Select Overview to view the information, registration, and usage details for the selected application.
    • The Information tab is a summary of settings for the selected application on a single screen. You can easily copy URLs to paste elsewhere, avoiding typing errors and ensuring accuracy. See Defining Applications to set the information on this tab.

    • Select Registrations to view details about valid application registrations.

    • Select Usage to see usage statistics for the application. Choose your display options:
      • Select the Usage category.

      • Select the Time Frame time period, including Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 4 Weeks, Last 3 Months, and Last 12 Months.

      • Indicate whether to show data in bar-chart format (column or line), or table-chart format.

  5. Use the back arrow to navigate back to the list or tile view; or select a menu option―such as Configure, or Export―to continue with the selected application.
