An SAP Mobile Platform Server cluster consists of two or more servers (nodes) that service the same set of client devices, users, and mobile applications, and rely on the same set of back-end data services.
In a server cluster, security configurations, including profiles and role mappings, are stored in a database shared by the cluster. You configure security profiles and role mappings using Management Cockpit. You can create and maintain security-related items from any active node in a cluster. After configuring security, the CSI pushes the security configuration to the shared database, which then propagates the changes to the cluster nodes.
