Confirmation of Unplanned Job
You use this function to document unexpected and urgent maintenance work that you have already completed and now want to confirm. It allows you to create a maintenance order (with a notification if necessary) and enter completion confirmations all in one step. You can also indicate the involvement of other work centers so that the responsible individuals can confirm the work they did separately.
For more information, see Confirm Unplanned Job.
You can enter the following confirmation data for an unplanned job:
Time data, in other words, information about when you carried out the work, how long it took, and so on
Information about the materials you used to perform the work
A confirmation text
The results of measurement or counter readings you took
If several people from your work center were involved, you can enter separate time data, material-used data, and confirmation texts for everyone according to personnel number.
If maintenance workers from other work centers were involved in the job, you can assign these work centers to the job. When you subsequently save your confirmation data, the system creates an operation in the order for each additional work center. These operations then appear as jobs awaiting confirmation in the confirmation list, and the responsible individuals can confirm the work they did for the unplanned job themselves (see Confirmation List).
Note
You can assign only those work centers that meet the following criteria:
Work center category is Plant maintenance (0005)
Work center plant belongs to the same controlling area as the planning plant of your work center
The planning plant is specified in your user profile.
If required, you can also enter malfunction data to report an additional problem that was discovered during maintenance. You can enter breakdown data, as well information about damages and causes to describe the problem or malfunction in greater detail. You can enter several damages and causes at once by choosing the relevant pushbutton and then selecting the appropriate codes from a hierarchical tree.
Adding malfunction data results in the creation of a notification. If no notification type is predefined for the order type in Customizing, you can select it from a list.
You can enter comments about the job. These are saved either to the order or to the notification depending on your Customizing settings.
You can upload and attach a document that does not yet exist in your document management system by choosing the corresponding pushbutton. Once you have selected and uploaded a document in the document upload application, the system creates a new document info record. When you subsequently save
the confirmation, the system includes the document on the Documents
tab of either the order or the notification, depending on your Customizing settings.
You specify the required order type and choose Create
. The system automatically enters your work center from your user profile. You can then specify the technical object that required unplanned maintenance and enter the necessary data.
When you save, the system performs a number of actions depending on the information you have entered.
