You define the settings in Customizing for SAP NetWeaver under  Search and Operational Analytics SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search Modeling, Administration, and Monitoring Open Administration Cockpit .

You have defined the basic settings for the UI technology (for example, portal address). To do this, in the Administration Cockpit choose  System Settings Maintain UI Technologies .

You have created search object connectors for the search object templates equipment EAMS_EQUI and functional location EAMS_BUS0010, which are supplied as standard.

You have defined an index update.

You can either schedule regular indexing or run indexing in real-time. To do this, in the Administration Cockpit select the connectors for the search object templates EAMS_EQUI and EAMS_BUS0010 and choose Schedules.

The search object connectors for the search object templates equipment EAMS_EQUI and functional location EAMS_BUS0010 are standard for the Maintenance Worker role. If these search object connectors are inactive, the system uses the search object connectors for the search object templates equipment EQUI and functional location BUS0010.
